Father Mbaka speaks on oil well deal with Goodluck Jonathan Soonest Nathaniel Yesterday 357000 – Rev Father Mbaka has spoken out regarding an alleged shady affair with Goodluck Jonathan – Mbaka says he did not beg the ex-president for an oil well – He says he has no regret regarding his 2015 prophesy Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka said on Sunday, July 24, that his detractors are after him because of his 2015 prophesy which came to fulfillment with the dawn of change in the country. The charismatic Catholic cleric disclosed that he had nothing to regret over his 2015 prophesy of change, where he had predicted that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the presidential election. Mbaka equally dismissed as baseless the claims that he fell apart with Jonathan over the latter’s refusal of his request for an oil well. The outspoken priest who spoke through his media aide, Barr Maximus Ike Ugwuoke on the sidelines of the activities ahead of his 21 years priestly ordination anniversary, said he would not regret the 2015 change prophesy despite the current sufferings Nigerians were experiencing. The priest, however, maintained that the previous administration, which ran a wasteful government should be held responsible for the present situation. According to him: “when these prophesies come, it must not be what people think or want; people are entitled to their views; those reactions mean nothing; the important thing is that there is nothing he had prophesized which never came to pass; the ministry does not care how people feel about his prophesies. Some call him controversial priest; some call him fiery priest and all that, they are entitled to their opinion. The fact remains that he is a true prophet “I will tell you something, it is not for us human to judge prophesies; he was the only person who said Buhari would win; if it were in the olden days, all those so-called men of God who castigated him would have received the wrath of God immediately. All of them should be ashamed of themselves now. “When you look at that prophesy on Jonathan, he gave it and it came to pass; don’t forget that two months before that Prophesy, Jonathan’s wife came to the adoration ground; that is to tell you that the prophesy came from God; if after such visit, he had the courage to reveal such prophesy against them, that tells you that it is much more than what people think; whether the prophesy is a good one or not, talking about the suffering, it has nothing to do with the prophesy. “Before Buhari took over, the dollar was rising, there was already problem with our economy.‎ They had oil boom bit never saved; just wasted the opportunity. Even the suffering we are talking about was part of his prophesies; I recall that in 31st of January this year, he said clearly that Nigerians should brace up for hard times, he said a lot of hardship was under way; this suffering Nigerians are passing through are process of change. I’m seeing a great future for Nigerians; he made it clear that there are so many holes which needed to be filled.” When asked whether Mbaka could then be described as a prophet of doom, he said: “No way; he is not a prophet of doom; you can’t say that this is a government of doom; this is a government that has unearthed a whole lot of things; the other government had oil boom, which they squandered, they handed over oil doom to this government; we are no longer talking of excess crude; this is what the present government is facing.” Speaking on stories making the rounds that Jonathan rejected his request for an oil well, he stated that “these are lies from the pit of hell; these were used to water down the prophesy because people did not understand. It was even alleged that he received N5m from Buhari; you begin to wonder what is N5m to Mbaka. Is it the school fees he is paying for hundreds of people? This is all propaganda. “There was also these claims of meeting with APC chieftains before the election; he never held any such meeting; he never met Buhari before the election, there has never been any communication between them; what he has already is bigger than oil well; he is a musician and the ministry is being sustained with that.” On the issue of his prophecy that former Enugu Governor, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani would not win second term, he gave reasons for the non-fulfillment ‎of the prophesy thus: “People who are saying this do not know what happens; a prophesy may come but people may not know what happens in between the period it was supposed to manifest; we have a man in the Bible, who God prophetically told that he would die; however, when he prayed, God extended his number of years. Mbaka has vision about Buhari, what he saw was terrifying “So, in the case of Chimaroke, it is true that Mbaka said Chimaroke will not come back; but after that prophesy, the Church authority mandated him to celebrate a mass of forgiveness for Chimaroke. He celebrated that mass; remember it is God that answers prayers. So, the mass of forgiveness, which he celebrated under the mandate of the diocese is the main reason the prophesy did not come to pass. “People are saying a lot; recently, they even said he didn’t go to Nimbo because of fear. But the truth is that he said the Holy Spirit asked him not to go; he said the trip will continue but that he will send delegates; there could have been so many reasons; he is not a coward; the ministry went there with three truck load of assorted materials; so are you saying he sent other people to be killed? He would have called off the trip if it had to do with herdsmen; it was purely the voice of the Holy Spirit; the other time he was to go for crusade, he called it off. “So, the light of these, we shall be celebrating him this week. He is celebrating 21 years of miraculous life; 21 years of consistent miracles; 21 years of prophesies that have manifested- the change prophesy, the oil doom and all that; he is also celebrating 21 years of charity; the celebration is not for him; it is for all those who have benefited so much from his ministry. “On several occasions, there have been plots to assassinate him but God has continued to protect him; he has survived harsh criticisms, assassins’ bullets, bombs, among other things; God keeps saving him‎.” NAIJ.COM HOME PAGE THINK IT IS IMPORTANT? Fuel price hike: FG meets with NLC, appoints PPPRA chair Nkem Ikeke 7 hours ago 143055 – President Buhari approved the appointment of Mohammed Lawan Buba as chairman of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency – The PPPRA board has the statutory role of determining and fixing the prices of petroleum products and has not been constituted for over four years – The federal government set up a 16-man committee to negotiate with Nigerian Labour Congress on the increase in fuel price – The presidency said the committee was constituted to work out modalities on ways to resolve the issues raised by the organised labour – The committee is expected to submit its report within two weeks of their inauguration Alhaji Mohammed Lawan Buba, a former Director General of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), has been appointed as chairman of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA). This was announced on Wednesday, May 25, by Engineer Babachir David Lawal, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation after a meeting between a federal government delegation and the organized labour, Daily Trust reports. READ ALSO: Petrol price: NLC, FG resume negotiations today The federal government also constituted a 16-man committee to address issues that necessitated the three-day strike embarked on by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) after the increase in the pump price of petrol, Daily Trust reports. He said the meeting was called to review various issues which emanated from the the increased fuel price, such as the minimum wage, implementation of the N500bn palliative in the 2016 budget and work out ways of resolving the issue on new pump price of petrol. “The committee is to discuss issues concerning the minimum wage, to advice on possible modalities of working out ways to arrive at a compromise. “Secondly, we have agreed that the 16-man committee will look at the issue of implementation and the allocation of resources on the half a trillion naira palliatives budgeted for by the Federal Government,” the SGF said. After three days, NLC suspended its indefinite strike to demand reversal of the pump price of petrol from N145 to N86.50 on Sunday, May 22. Labour agreed to negotiate with the federal government on the review of minimum wage for workers, electricity tariff and constitution of the board of the PPMC among other issues. Responding to questions from newsmen, the NLC president, Comrade Ayuba Wabba who led other labour leaders to the meeting with the federal government, said it was successful. READ ALSO: Check out 10 ways you can survive the fuel price increase, no 8 is important Also speaking, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, said the 16-man committee was expected to work out the framework to constitute the committee for the minimum wage review which was a tripartite negotiation arrangement. “I chair the committee and we are waiting for the NLC to forward their nominees so that the committee can be inaugurated sometime next week,” he said. The removal of fuel subsidy and an increase in fuel price did not go down well with many Nigerians. Popular Lagos based pastor and Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election, Tunde Bakare, accused the President Buhari-led federal government of not consulting widely before removing subsidy from petrol and the subsequent hike in fuel price. Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has alleged that former PresidentGoodluck Jonathan threatened to cage him after May 29 for declaring his support for the candidature of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last general elections.

Oshiomhole, while speaking at a meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, Jan. 14, revealed that Jonathan threatened to cage him after the last general elections, which luckily for him did not go in favour of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

He said: “The former President, Goodluck Jonathan told our National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun to inform me that after the election, he will put me, Adams, the son of Oshiomhole in a hole and I told Chief Oyegun to inform him to dig that hole very deep because although I am short, in the course of pushing me into the hole, nobody knows who will get there first.

“Since he is taller than me, he needs to dig the hole deep enough so that either of us can get in. In the end, he is inside the hole and I am busy putting dust into that hole”.

Oshiomhole continued, “In this hall, around this time last year, we held a meeting to share information about what was going on in various local governments and the specific challenges in each of those local government in order to fashion out appropriate response.

“Some of the statements that we shared in those meetings included threats that by June, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole would have been impeached because PDP would write results whether we liked it or not. They would overrun the House of Assembly and once the House is proclaimed in June, before the end of June, Comrade would be banished to his house in the village and from there to prison.

“Those who made those threats, who supervised those processes, even now in their early 90s are writing letters to explain how they shared money meant for defence. Every evil weapon they fashioned against me did not prosper and even the ones they are fashioning now will not prosper.”

He recalled how the APC languished in obscurity while the PDP called the shot, both at states and federal level.

“When we came in about 7 years ago, my party had no control even of one ward. We had no control of one local government, but today, we control wards, local, state and by the special grace of God, federal. Things have changed. The one who tamed a lion with bare hands, now with automatic weapons, no antelope can dare us in our own forest.”

Oshiomhole had continually criticised the Goodluck Jonathan and particularly the former minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for aiding the her boss and other officials of the government to misappropriate funds.
